Confidence boost at Mallory for McAleer

It was a weekend of confidence boosting action for Omagh teenager Nicole McAleer at Mallory Park at the weekend. After the opening free practice on Friday morning it was clear that McAleer was on the pace and with every practice session the college girl was clearly getting faster and by race day was brimming with confidence.

During the 20 lap race McAleer pushed her Megabikes.i.e / Splash in the pan  Honda from 26th place on the opening lap and was more than delighted when she was able to break into the top twenty for the first time this season.

She was slightly disappointed to narrowly miss out on 17th place to Ross Walker at the last corner, when she was not able to get the power on as quickly as Walker and he pipped her to the post, but both McAleer and her Megabikes.i.e / Splash in the pan were over the moon that all their hard work is paying off.

Not only was the teenager 18th placed overall, but she was also ninth in the Academy Cup race, where she is now lying in 11th place and is hoping to continue to score points, not only in the Academy Cup but she is also hoping to break into the top fifteen in the main Championship at the next round at Brands Hatch on August 9th.
